Injection Molding
- Helix Medical - Gloucester Operations is the premier source for injection molded silicone (LSR/LIM) products for the medical device, health care, pharmaceutical and biotech industries.
- Specializing in multi-component (insert and over-molding), 2K, and micromolding, we conduct both low volume (< 100 parts/year) and high volume (> 10,000,000 parts/year) production with equal world-class engineering expertise, quality and delivery.
- A majority of our injection molds incorporate a cutting edge wasteless, flashless cold-runner system, eliminating the need for post-injection trimming and inspection handling.
- All injection molding is conducted in our state-of-the-art 8,400 ft2 environmentally controlled cleanroom to achieve the highest possible quality.
- Helix Medical - Gloucester Operation operates truly automated, 24/7 "lights out" production of high-volume, close-tolerance products.

Post-Mold Processes
- To enhance the value of our injection molded products, Helix Medical - Gloucester Operations offers post-mold services such as trimming, punching, slitting, bonding/gluing, ultra-sonic welding, post-curing, pad printing, anti-frictional coating, and sterilization.
- We specialize in both simple and complex assembly in our state-of-the-art 8,400 ft2 environmentally controlled cleanroom. Additional HEPA filters are used to reduce part contamination.
- Holding and assembly fixtures are custom-designed to ensure repeatable, reliable post-mold processes and assembly operations.
- Depending on annual part volume and cost-effectiveness, we can integrate secondary operations into the injection process through simple or sophisticated automation. In addition to improved labor efficiency, automation reduces part handling and improves overall part quality.

Packaging
- Helix Medical - Gloucester Operations has long-established relationships with packaging venders to provide you with custom-designed packaging solutions for manufacturer, distributor, hospital and/or retail use.
- We regularly use Tyvek, polybags, internal boxes and/or dunnage, outer boxes, labels, stretch wrap, and skids to safety ship our products.
- Both manual and automated packaging are available depending on annual part volume and complexity.
- Working hand-in-hand with our customers, Helix Medical - Gloucester Operations develops the optimal, cost-effective process to form, fill, seal and label your product to meet your quality, tracking and safety requirements.
- We specialize in solving packaging complexity problems and assisting our customers with retail packaging artwork.

Value-Added Services
- Helix Medical - Gloucester Operations offers our customers Project Management services that incorporate APQP (Advance Product Quality Planning) to ensure that problems are identified and addressed early in the design/development process. This systematic approach to Project Management is an integral component of our Flawless Launch program.

We have extensive collective experience in product design & development, tooling design & build, product & process validation and qualification.
